The Stock Market Analysis Tool was a research application designed to test various database technologies. The application itself is considered a back-testing application which tests various "what if?" scenarios in the stock market. For example, what if every time a stock was down for five consecutive days and then bought and held for two days before selling, how much money would have been made or lost? The application was an excellent platform for testing Microsoft Access, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL in a single-core high performance situation.
